Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lumo app and the lumoplayer.app website ("Lumo", "we", "us").

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing or using Lumo, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Lumo.

3. The service

Lumo is a media player. It plays video and audio files stored on your device and on media sources you connect, such as SMB, WebDAV and Emby servers, organizes your library, and shows information such as posters, song details and lyrics. You can also save copies of files from your own connected sources on your device for offline playback. Features may change as the app is updated.

4. Your content

You are responsible for the media you play, store or upload with Lumo, and for making sure you have the right to use it. Lumo does not host, sell or distribute music, movies or other copyrighted content.

Song information, artwork and lyrics shown in the app come from third-party services and are provided for your personal reference only.

5. Connected sources and third-party services

When you connect a media server, network storage, an Emby server or Google Drive, the app accesses those sources on your behalf. We do not operate these sources and are not responsible for their availability, content or terms.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

6. Your account

Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google, you are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's own terms.

7. Paid features

Some features of Lumo may require a purchase or subscription. Purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future charges; the current billing period remains active until it ends.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lumo to break the law or infringe the rights of others, and not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, interfere with its operation, or bypass any of its limitations.

9. Intellectual property

Lumo, including its software, design, logo and text, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Lumo is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device, file format or media source.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. We recommend that you keep your own backups of important files.

12. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. If you continue to use the app after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
